Cougar Lock
2-step Authentication
Description
Cougar Lock is APU's 2-Step Authentication security tool. It adds an extra layer of security to your APU account and lowers the risk of your account being compromised. Once Cougar Lock is enabled on your APU Account, anytime you sign in to a new device or from a different location, you will need your smartphone to confirm it's really you. Cougar Lock will be used for APU resources that are secured behind our Central Authentication System (CAS).

Your APU Network Account provides you with access to important personal information, and in the case of faculty and staff, may provide access to private student information.
You should maintain strong passwords and never share them with anyone. If you suspect your password has been compromised, you should change your password immediately from the “My Network Account” section of the home.apu.edu portal, or from the “Forgot your password link” on the sign-in screen.
